Jacinta Tynan is the author of Good Man Hunting (Random House 2005), a memoir about looking for love and finding The One, which earned her the accolade, ‘Australia’s answer to Carrie Bradshaw’ (SMH) and generated a large and loyal following. She went on to write a popular weekly column in the Sunday Telegraph along the same lines, providing solace to scores of men and women who think there is something amiss because they haven’t walked down the aisle. Her second book, Some Girls Do: My Life as a Teenager (Allen & Unwin 2007) is an anthology of top female Australian authors writing the true story of their adolescence. Royalties are donated to SISTER2Sister – a mentor program for disadvantaged teenage girls – for whom Jacinta is Patron.
Jacinta is also a News Presenter and journalist – formerly with ABC TV and now Sky News Australia.
She is regarded as a commentator for her generation appearing on such programs as Today Tonight’s special on Australia’s Most Influential Women, Insight (SBS), and is a regular guest on Mornings With Kerry Anne. She contributes to publications such as Madison, Sunday Life, and Women’s Health. She is currently working on her first fiction novel.
